How Are You Paying Today? | DEMO
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Milk. Bread. Meat.
You're so hungry.
Knife. Bandage. Medicine.
But so is everyone else.
In this grocery store, everything has a price. Navigate the store, manage your sanity and strength, meet strange people, and leave with your groceries.
Make it back home, if you can.
Content Warnings:
- Minor eyestrain (bright lights against darkness, backgrounds are animated, and they have a noise filter)
- Body horror
- Hematophagy (aka, consumption of human blood. It is not shown on screen, and it's minimal in the demo)
- Kissing someone to receive help (I don't know how else to label this, but that's something that happens in game that I think warrants a content warning)
This project is still in development. The game is currently just a demo. Dev updates posted to my tumblr (and occasionally to my Itch). The full version of the game will be paid, but the demo will always be free. Feedback is welcome in the comments.

amazing game can not wait until its finally out the character are still in development? They would look sick if they blend in with the environment keep it up amazing game
VN's are generally outside my genre preferences but this is pretty intriguing. Clever mashup of two genres and the grocery store + backrooms concept seems surprisingly workable. Props on the writing keeping up the atmosphere. Good work coming up with something...fresh...and good luck with getting your project to the finish line.
Cool demo!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it! Watching your video, I realized that there was a bug during the scene where you lick the knife. During that scene, your vitality is supposed to increase, but for some reason it didn't. I will update the game to fix that issue shortly. Again, thank you so much for giving my demo a shot! I enjoyed watching your video!
